Description
4, 12, 16, or 24 conductor control cable, priced by the foot, no connectors; 22 AWG shielded; (For making a control cable with a connector for the SDA100 or OptimizIR controller, be sure to also order 25 pin splice connector).
This cable must be run from the controller/remote driver board to the antenna directly, is responsible for powering the antenna’s EHUs (Element Housing Units), is shielded to protect from RFI/EFI, and has a UV rated insulation. If using lengths greater than 400ft we recommend using a remote driver board. Lengths above 500ft cannot be used as the voltage drop is too high.
Note:
- 4 wire is only used for vertical/dipole antennas.
- 12 wire is only used for Urban Beam, 2E, and 3E Yagi antennas.
- 16 wire is used for 4E and 3 element DB antennas.
- 24 wire is needed for DB42 and on DB36
